Young Falkirk FC were established in 2000 by Gordon Young to give local boys and girls the chance to play football in their community.
There are numerous sides participating in both the Forth Valley Football Development Association (FVFDA)http://www.forthvalley.leaguerepublic.com/ and the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth League. (see links for web site)
The club are ofcourse affiliated to the Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) as well as the Central Region Midland Area. The home pitches for YFFC and Falkirk Athletic are at Stirling Road in Falkirk. C and K matches are currently played on Sunday afternoon's. FVFDA sides currently play their matches on Saturday mornings.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
